The Nicolet theater department will be presenting their Children's show - Wizard Of Oz on April 26 & 27 🏰
The Wizard of Oz is perhaps the most popular children’s story ever written. A cyclone carries Dorothy and her dog, Toto, to the magical land of Oz, where they encounter all the famous characters from the pen of L. Frank Baum... the Cowardly Lion, the Tin Woodsman, the rubber-legged Scarecrow, Glinda the Good Witch, and the evil Witch of the West, who is determined to destroy Dorothy and steal the secret of the red slippers. Eventually Dorothy defeats the evil witch, finds a way to return to Kansas, and her companions have their wishes granted.
Due to limited seating, and patrons acquiring tickets and then not attending the performance, ticket holders must arrive at least 10 minutes before show time to ensure their seats. At that time, unclaimed seats will be given to patrons on a waiting list who could not acquire tickets.
Tickets are available by visiting ⤵

Nicolet senior Nathanael Meinhardt has been named a Congress-Bundestag Scholar for the 2025-26 school year. CBYX scholars serve as youth ambassadors for the United States, sharing our culture with Germans and bringing the German culture back to their home communities. He joins a team of Americans who believe that citizen diplomacy can make a difference, and can be a step towards achieving peace through understanding. During his CBYX year, Natek will live with a German host family and attend a German school. Other highlights are the midyear seminar in Hamburg and the culminating Berlin seminar, where students meet with members of the German parliament.
In addition to an interest in German, CBYX winners need to be well-rounded individuals with strong communication skills and intercultural awareness. At Nicolet, Natek has been active in German Club and the German Honor Society, medaled at the State German pronunciation contest and UW-Madison German Day competitions and took part in the 2023 and 2024 GAPP Exchanges. Natek was also a member of the NHS Cross Country team, played trumpet in our band and was named an Eagle Scout in 2024.
Nathanael is the 20th Nicolet German student to be selected for this program in the last twenty two years. Alonah Hunter Owens is currently on CBYX and Tyler Friedel spent 2023-24 studying in Lüneburg in Lower Saxony. Other recent winners include Jack Drouhin (2022) and Soph Franecki (2021).
Congrats Nathanael ❗
