Emma Maertz '23, is the National Winner of the National Center for Women & Information Technology's (NCWIT) Aspirations In Computing Award (AiC). The award honors students for their computing related achievements and encourages them to pursue their passions. Congrats Emma!

Work Permits are now done online 💻
The Department of Workforce Development's Equal Rights Division has developed a new online work permit application tool. The Division carefully considered the lessons of the past few years, when pandemic restrictions made it nearly impossible for some minors to obtain work permits and decided to pursue an online application that would be available to the parents of minors 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from any computer, tablet, smartphone, or similar device. The application improves accessibility for minors who live in rural or underserved areas and eliminates the difficult logistics involved in working parents having to take off work to make a trip to a work permit office.

The Wisconsin AATSP (American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese) selects ten students at random each year to receive a $100 scholarship. These ten students are chosen from all who have earned a gold medal in the WI State Pronunciation Contest. Last year only one Nicolet student was chosen, but this year four Nicolet seniors were the lucky recipients of $100! Congratulations to Lauren Abbott, Stella Beidel, Leah Gaffney and Georgia Holton!
The Nicolet Track & Field Team had a very solid performance at the WIAA State Meet.
➡ Lauren Graham: (2nd) 100m High Hurdles (14.49). The time is 2nd all-time at Nicolet.
➡ Olivia Theisen: (4th) Long Jump (17-9.25). The distance is (1st) all-time at Nicolet.
➡ Sydney Griffin, Olivia Theisen, McKenzie Stacy, Angela Dale (6th) 4x200m Relay (1:43.48). The time is 3rd all-time at Nicolet.
➡ Angela Dale (7th) 200m (25.55)
➡ Kai Force (8th) 300m Intermediate Hurdles (40.14)
