🏫 National School Counseling Week 🏫
Olivia Carter has been a school counselor at Nicolet Union High School for2️⃣9️⃣ years.
Olivia, thank you for your dedication to the Nicolet students❗
Today is the first day of National School Counseling Week. The number one goal, as a school counselor, is to help you succeed. Whatever you need to be successful at school – whether that’s learning how to stay motivated to complete your work, having positive relationships with your fellow students, advocating for yourself or overcoming barriers. You’ve probably heard of actor and producer Tyler Perry. He said, “I don’t think the dreams die. I think people give up. I think it gets too hard.” Sometimes achieving your dreams IS hard, but counselors are here to help you not give up. A big thanks to Nicolet’s counselors and all the things they do, both big and small, to help students succeed.
Scholarships based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities, leadership, and volunteerism can be found on the Student Services Office page of the Nicolet website: http://bit.ly/40sIOXd

The Nicolet-Shorewood Ski Team opened their 2023 season skiing giant slalom at The Rock Snowpark under less than ideal conditions due to the recent warm weather and soft snow. The Varsity Girls put together a strong team effort to move up from 3rd place after the first run to claim 2nd place behind Slinger. Emma Bailey (Shorewood) earned a 3rd place podium finish and was followed by 3 of her teammates finishing in the Top 10 with Anna Glaisner (Nicolet) 6th; Avi Dickman (Nicolet) 9th; and Ella Pringle (Nicolet) 10th. Teammates Megan Dufek (Nicolet) and Louisa Fowler (Shorewood) also finished in the top half of the field showing the depth of this team. The Varsity Boys were paced by Hayden Summ's (Nicolet) 10th place finish. The JV Blue Girls finished 2nd overall and had two Top 5 finishers with Sydney Pringle (Nicolet) 2nd and Megan Dufek (Nicolet) 5th. The next race is slalom at Alpine Valley on January 11th. Good luck the rest of the season ⛷
